Departmental Information Sessions Available for Spring 2000 Semester
Kenneth Osfield, ADA Director
As a service to the University community, the Committee on Persons with Disabilities is coordinating departmental ADA information sessions throughout the academic year. The information sessions have been coordinated through the ADA Office and the Dean of Students Office.
The purpose of the information sessions is to answer questions faculty and staff have about educating students with disabilities, including appropriate methods of providing accommodations.
Two types of information sessions are available. You and your department may elect to attend an inter-departmental information session at the Reitz Union, or have disability service providers coordinate a session exclusively for your staff.
The inter-departmental information sessions will be especially helpful to departments with a small number of staff members. Sessions will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday, January 26, 2000 (FACULTY ONLY) 349 JWRU 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2000 287 JWRU 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2000 287 JWRU 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 29, 2000 287 JWRU 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2000 349 JWRU 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Friday, March 24, 2000 B60 JWRU 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Tuesday, April 4, 2000 287 JWRU 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2000 B60 JWRU 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
