Jim Knight, Dean

You are invited to a special presentation at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2000, in the President’s Board Room, Second Floor, Tigert Hall with Rob Reed, the Executive Director of the Conference Center of the America’s (CCA) in Coral Gables. The recently refurbished CCA is part of the historic Biltmore Hotel complex and is arguably one of the finest and best-equipped conference centers in the country.

Mr. Reed will discuss the unique relationship between UF and the Biltmore/CCA and will provide detailed information on the hotel and the conference center. With the completion and restoration of these facilities, we have an opportunity to interact more closely with our extensive South Florida constituencies by developing conferences, seminars, symposia, and other outreach activities and holding them in these very impressive surroundings.

The CCA is particularly well located as a site for activities involving our Latin American programs, partnerships, and initiatives.

I hope you will be able to attend this informative session. Anyone in your unit with an interest in utilizing these facilities is invited to attend.
