Extension of Application Period of a Half/Full-time Associate Vice President For Research and Graduate Programs

The Office of Research and Graduate Programs is extending the application period for the position of Associate Vice President for Research and Graduate Programs (RGP). All applications received to date are still active. RGP seeks an individual who has a broad vision of the University’s research and graduate programs. The individual should have a sincere desire to help the University be recognized as a first rate institution in these areas. He/she will be responsible to the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School and will represent him in his absence. The following are criteria for the position:

  • Tenured member of the University of Florida faculty with a doctoral degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of specialization and appropriate experience, or a masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and extensive appropriate experience;
  • Evidence of strong involvement in high quality scholarly research;
  • Evidence of effective management, decision making, problem solving in the administrative functioning of a unit;
  • Ability to participate in strategic planning, budget, personnel and other internal meetings of staff;
  • Ability to participate actively with faculty and outside funding sources in pursuit of research initiatives;
