President’s Response to La Casita Incident

I was shocked and disappointed to learn that the Institute for Hispanic Culture had been vandalized with a racial slur on Monday. Clearly, this incident is an indication that the University of Florida must continue to aggressively and candidly address issues of racial diversity and equality on this campus. While it is impossible for any institution to completely eradicate insensitive and inappropriate behavior, it is important that it be understood that at the University of Florida, such behavior will not be tolerated.
