New Travel Request and Reimbursement Information Processing System (TRRIPS) CONTROLLER’S MEMORANDUM NO. 2001-12

The electronic Travel Request and Reimbursement Information Processing System known as TRRIPS has been rewritten and will be released for use by all campus departments for establishing Travel Authorization Requests (TAR) and Travel Reimbursement Vouchers on May 5, 2001. The Reimbursement Voucher has added features which allow for an easier navigation through the various steps of processing a travel reimbursement.

Important dates concerning Summer term’s tuition payment processing dates are listed below. Please be reminded that signed contracts (letters of appointment) are required for all Graduate Assistants. Contracts for graduate assistants can be accessed by going to our website, www.aa.ufl.edu, and following the instructions listed at the site. Completing an “on-line” letter of appointment does not replace the need to complete a contractual letter of appointment as specified in Article 2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

UF Departments have requested information on the procedures for animal use at UF.

Staff members of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) are available to assist with animal use protocol submissions, to provide guidance, and to answer any questions regarding rules and regulations.Faculty, staff and/or students involved with animal use for research or teaching should contact the IACUC administrative office if assistance is needed.

Parking Impacts at O’Connell Center, May 3, 2001

Two unrelated events will impact parking at the O’Connell Center May 3, 2001. One-hundred-fifty Commuter spaces in the O’Connell Center parking lot are being reserved from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2001. The O’Connell Center parking garage will be closed May 3, 2001 for cleaning.

Regular users of the facilities listed above are advised to plan ahead and make alternate parking or transportation arrangements (see RTS homepage for bus schedules at http://www.go-rts.com/) if necessary.

Construction at ICBR Building #62

Due to construction in the area, the remaining Blue decal parking in the lot south of the ICBR Building #62 will be eliminated on Monday, April 16, 2001. To make up for the loss, 97 Red 1 decal parking spaces at Jennings Hall will be converted to Blue decal parking beginning May 1, 2001. Please plan accordingly. Parking Impact at Performing Arts Center Garage Due To Sensational Science

The first level of the Performing Arts Center garage has been reserved on Tuesday April 17, 2001 for use by attendees of the “Sensational Science” event. Approximately 600 students are expected to attend in three shifts during the day. Regular users of this facility are advised to make appropriate parking and transportation arrangements on the above date.
