We are pleased to announce a new health insurance plan for undergraduate, international, and graduate students not on appointments. The new plan will be available to students during the upcoming Fall semester. A comprehensive marketing plan targeted at the student population will be rolled out over the next several weeks; however, we want to provide you with a brief introduction.

The new plan:

– Does not replace GatorGradCare, which covers graduate students on appointments
– Is the result of a comprehensive selection process which included student leadership input
– Significantly improves the coverage including a $500 wellness benefit, increased pharmacy benefits, a decrease in the pre-existing condition clause from 12 months to six months, and a greatly enhanced mental health coverage benefit
– Has pricing advantages for parents and students

The new plan represents a significant improvement in health issues for our student population. Again, additional information will be rolled out in the next few weeks.

In the interim, if you have any additional questions, please call the Student Health Care Center at (352) 392-1161.
