Joseph Glover, Provost and Senior Vice President

The University of Florida has initiated a search for the next Senior Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The search committee had its first meeting on October 5, 2009, at which University President J. Bernard Machen gave his charge to the committee. The success of this important search will depend on the quality of candidates in the pool. The faculty, staff and university community have an opportunity to submit nominations of qualified individuals. To ensure full consideration, nominations should be submitted before the end of November and application materials should be submitted by December 3, 2009.

The Senior Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources is a key position for the university and the State of Florida. This Senior Vice President directs the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), one of this institution’s premier collections of academic resources. The faculty, students, and programs of UF/IFAS have a statewide constituency and a national and international influence. UF/IFAS is a cornerstone of this university’s distinguished reputation as one of America’s great land-grant institutions.
