Announcing Stephanie Gray as Director of Division of Sponsored Research

The Office of Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Gray as Director of the Division of Sponsored Research (DSR) for the University of Florida effective December 17, 2012. The Division of Sponsored Research oversees all extramural proposal submissions, accepts and administers grant awards, and negotiates contracts and other research-related agreements on behalf of the University of Florida.  As Director, Ms. Gray will now be responsible for the administration and promotion of the sponsored research program at the University of Florida.  She will be stepping in for Dr. Thomas Walsh who will be retiring from the University of Florida this spring after admirably serving as Director for 27 years.

Stephanie Gray received a BA in Business Administration and BS in Sport Management from Bemidji State University, as well as an MBA from Edgewood College.  She joined the Office of Research in 2011 as an Assistant Director, focusing on systems and data management as well as training.  Prior to arriving at UF, Ms. Gray worked for 11 years in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of Wisconsin, Madison serving as a Financial Program Supervisor and a Senior University Grants and Contract Specialist.
