Faculty and departments should submit their Spring 2014 textbook adoptions at http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu by November 4, 2013 so that this information is available to students during advance registration. This information is also available online to all bookstores to help them ensure appropriate arrival of texts for Spring term and better prices for student book buybacks.

Students can view Spring course textbook requirements online during advance registration, which begins November 4, 2013. This information helps students balance their course loads based on reading requirements and plan for their financial needs, including the purchasing of books. Timely entry of this information also provides students their best opportunity to sell books back at higher prices. Bookstores typically will not offer to buy back texts unless the text is listed as being used the next semester.

Timely posting of textbook requirements has the strong support of the student body, and it is a requirement in the Florida Statutes. UF students continue to overwhelmingly endorse the availability of textbook information online and have indicated it aids in course selection.

For compliance-monitoring purposes, the final deadline date to submit text adoptions for Spring courses is November 15, 2013.

If you have any questions about the textbook adoption submission process, please contact the textbook adoption Web site administrator at 392-1134, ext. 41 or e-mail TextAdoption-WebHelp@bsd.ufl.edu.
