Curtis Reynolds, Vice President for Business Affairs

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Eddie Daniels as the Assistant Vice President for Business Services Division, effective July 14, 2017. Eddie has more than 30 years of higher education experience with regards to student union operations, auxiliary and business services. Since August 2005, Eddie held the position of Executive Director for UF’s Reitz Union, a newly renovated multi-purpose facility with public meeting areas, an auditorium, welcome center, bookstore, food court and a 36 guest room hotel.

During his career, Eddie has held progressively more responsible roles including leadership and committee involvement within national organizations (i.e., ACUI and NACAS). Since the J. Wayne Reitz Union addition/renovation, Eddie and his team have represented the university as recipients of the EBie Award (sponsored by the New York Urban Green Council), Trane/Ingersoll Rand Energy Efficiency Leader Award (to be presented in August), and an innovative practice speaker at APPA: Leadership in Educational Facilities annual conference in July.

In his new role, Eddie will oversee the campus’ food/catering services, book stores, vending services, mail/document services and Gator1 Card services. He will succeed Lionel Dubay, who retired after 32 years of service to the university.

Eddie holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Indiana University and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Please join me in welcoming Eddie Daniels to his new role as the Assistant Vice President for Business Services.
