It is my pleasure to announce that Ms. Cassandra Farley has been appointed as Director of Research Integrity, Security, and Compliance (RISC) within UF Research.  This position reports directly to the Vice President for Research with a secondary reporting structure to the UF Chief Compliance Officer.

As Director of RISC, Ms. Farley is charged with supporting and promoting ethical research practices at the University of Florida that fully comply with applicable US and foreign rules and regulations. She will be responsible for coordinating institution-wide research compliance and supporting policies and procedures that are effective and context-appropriate. As Director, Ms. Farley will coordinate these efforts among various administrative offices, committees, and local research areas that bear functional responsibility for research compliance and international research support at the University of Florida.  Areas of responsibility include responsible conduct in research, export control, research misconduct, conflict of interest, research security, and research activities outside the US.

Ms. Farley received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and her Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. She has previously served within UF as Associate Director of Research Integrity and as Grant Accountant.  Prior to joining UF in 2013, Ms. Farley was a Logistics Management Specialist within the US Army Logistics Innovation Agency.  Please join me in welcoming Ms. Farley to this position within the University of Florida.
