Division of Enrollment Management Leadership Updates

Following a national search, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Aretha Minor as Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives within the Division of Enrollment Management.  Aretha comes to us from the University of Utah, Office of Enrollment Management, where she serves as the Executive Director of Enrollment Planning and Analysis.  Aretha holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy with an emphasis on Student Affairs from the University of Utah, and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from California State University Long Beach.  Aretha has extensive experience in leading university initiatives that impact admissions, financial aid, orientation, and registration and records.   She will begin her employment at UF on March 18. 

I am also pleased to announce the promotion of Rick Bryant to Assistant Vice President for Admissions Services within the Division of Enrollment Management.  Rick Bryant has been with the University of Florida since 2002 and has served in various roles in the Office of Admissions, most recently as Director of Admissions Operations.  Rick brings to this position extensive managerial and strategic experience in all facets of admissions services including operations, recruitment, evaluation, and assessment, as well as a strong passion and commitment to supporting the recruitment of diverse and talented students.  Rick will oversee both admissions operations and the freshman recruitment activities in his new role which is effective February 18, 2022.

Additionally, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Donna Kolb to Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid, Scholarships and Enrollment Services.  Donna has been with the University of Florida since 2002, most recently as Director of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.  In her new role, Donna will oversee the Office of Student Financial Aid, expansion of our Scholarships administration efforts as well as the OneStop Enrollment Services unit.  Donna brings to this role extensive experience in financial aid and scholarship awarding, strategic and analytical management, as well as a passion and commitment to enhancing access for underrepresented groups.  This new appointment is effective February 18, 2022.
