Dr. Mary Parker, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Associate Provost

Colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions I announce that Steve Pritz is retiring from his role as assistant vice president and university registrar.

Steve began his professional career at the University of Florida in 1971 as a financial aid counselor. He spent over 12 years in financial aid before transitioning to the Registrar’s Office in 1984 as the associate registrar. After many years in that office and after serving in several interim roles, Steve was named University Registrar in 2003 and subsequently promoted to assistant vice president and university registrar in 2011.

Throughout his career at UF,  he has been a trusted colleague, adviser, and friend to many because of his knowledge, calm demeanor, respect for his colleagues, and his love of UF. Steve’s commitment to students and their success is unmatched. He has supported thousands of them in attending and graduating from UF and joining the ranks of those already apart of the mighty Gator Nation! President Fuchs once described him “as a treasure of the University of Florida,” and I could not agree more. Steve has been an impactful leader for our division, and while his accomplishments and awards are many, I will most remember his caring spirit, quiet guidance, and unstoppable gator spirit. Steve, the Division of Enrollment Management, and the University of Florida would not be where it is today without you.

Join me in thanking Steve for his many years of dedicated service. His last day in the office will be June 03, 2022.

Effective June 3, Donna Kolb, assistant vice president of student financial aid, scholarships, and enrollment services, will serve as interim university registrar as we prepare to launch a national search.
