Nicola Heredia named Assistant Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer
Taylor Jantz, Interim Chief Financial Officer
I’m pleased to share that Nicola Heredia has been named Assistant Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for the University of Florida. In this role, Nicola will direct UF Procurement’s long-range strategic planning, operations and activities, including representing the University in negotiating contracts and formulating policies as well as overseeing UF Procurement’s 25-person team of buyers and support staff.
Nicola joined UF Procurement more than 10 years ago as a Procurement Agent focused on scientific equipment and supplies, with progressive responsibilities that led to her most recent role as Procurement Director. Her years with UF, alongside her previous experience in the private sector as an imaging specialist and product manager for scientific imaging companies, have equipped her to be both an advocate for the UF community as well as a valued partner among our UF suppliers. She holds an Honors degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Plymouth and is a National Institute of Governmental Purchasing-Certified Procurement Professional.
Please join me in congratulating Nicola and wishing her well in her new role.
