Appointment of Dr. Angela Lindner as Interim Vice Provost of Undergraduate Affairs
Joe Glover, Interim Provost
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Angela Lindner will step into the role of Interim Vice Provost of Undergraduate Affairs, effective immediately.
Dr. Lindner served as Associate Provost of Undergraduate Affairs from 2015 until January 2024. As UF refocuses its commitment to student success, her extensive experience and outstanding record of fostering student achievement make her exceptionally well qualified for the role.
In her previous position, Dr. Lindner collaborated with colleagues across UF to spearhead student success initiatives such as peer tutoring, mentoring and coaching programs — efforts that led to improved four- and six year graduation rates, among other positive outcomes.
“I’m thrilled to join hands with UF’s many talented faculty and staff in holistically supporting students from the moment they arrive until the moment they graduate,” Lindner said.
Lindner began her academic career at the University of Florida in 1998 as a professor in the College of Engineering’s Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences. She served as the college’s Associate Dean of Student Affairs from 2008 to 2015. She has served as a professor in the UF College of Engineering’s Department of Engineering Education since 2023.
She earned her Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, M.S. in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University and B.S. in chemistry from the College of Charleston.
