Melissa Curry, Vice President for Human Resources

I’m pleased to share that nominations are now open for the University of Florida’s 37th annual Superior Accomplishment Awards — a program coordinated by UF Human Resources on behalf of the University of Florida President to honor the outstanding achievements of our faculty and staff. This longstanding tradition celebrates those who go above and beyond in support of UF’s mission and the greater community.

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 24, and may be submitted via the online nomination form: https://uf.tfaforms.net/f/hr-saa-nomination

Each year, these awards shine a spotlight on individuals and teams whose efforts made a meaningful difference during the previous fiscal year — July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Division-level winners will receive a cash award, a certificate of appreciation and a UF keepsake. These honorees will also be considered for university-level recognition, including nine cash awards and six special recognition awards to be presented at the university-wide ceremony in April 2026.

You are encouraged to nominate individuals or teams in one of the following categories:

  • Employee Performance: Recognizing exceptional individual contributions made during the most recent fiscal year.
  • Rookie of the Year: Honoring new employees who have quickly made a positive and measurable impact. Nominees must have been employed at UF for under two years and successfully completed their probationary period.
  • Team Collaboration: Celebrating teams (up to six members) whose collaboration has led to significant results.
  • Sustained Excellence: Acknowledging long-term excellence over at least five years. Nominees must not have received this award during that period.

This program continues to highlight the extraordinary dedication of UF employees, and your participation is key to recognizing those whose hard work often happens behind the scenes.
