Appointment of Lauren Wallace as Title IX Coordinator

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Wallace as the University of Florida’s Title IX Coordinator.

Lauren is a dedicated leader in the field of Title IX compliance. She most recently served as the Assistant Director and Title IX Coordinator at the University of Central Florida, where she led the university’s efforts in addressing sex discrimination, overseeing investigations, and ensuring compliance with Title IX and other civil rights laws.

With extensive expertise, Lauren has conducted more than 140 university investigations, developed comprehensive training programs, and spearheaded cross-campus initiatives to support Title IX compliance. Her background also includes serving as a criminal prosecutor and providing legal counsel to survivors of intimate partner violence in Maryland.

Lauren holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia, where she was recognized for her public service and clinical excellence. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University.

In this role, Lauren will guide UF’s work to cultivate an environment free from sex-based discrimination and misconduct. Her leadership will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our policies, education, and response efforts around Title IX.
