Proposed 2026-2027 Fringe Benefit Pool Rates
Matthew H. Ellis, Assistant Vice President and University Controller
The University has calculated the new proposed fringe rates for fiscal year 2026-2027 and has submitted them to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Although we do not expect any objections, the proposed rates are subject to DHHS approval and should be used with that understanding in your planning for fiscal year 2026-2027. The rates, when approved, will be effective July 1, 2026.
Note that TEAMS Exempt and TEAMS Non-Exempt pools are now being combined for a single rate to cover all TEAMS employees.
The employee categories and corresponding proposed benefit rates are as follows:

| Faculty (9-,10-, and 12-month) | 31.9 | 33.5 | -1.6 |
| COM Clinical Faculty | 18.9 | 22.0 | -3.1 |
| Exempt TEAMS (TEAMS combined) | 44.1 | 42.7 | 1.4 |
