Ideas welcomed for new academic strategic plan
Sarah Lynne, Chair, Drafting Committee, Academic Strategic Plan
UF students, faculty and staff are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about UF’s academic future through a just-released strategic-planning chatbot created by UF Information Technology.
Users will Gatorlink authenticate, then have the opportunity to answer six questions about UF’s future in a conversational format. Please plan to complete all questions in one session by Oct. 31.
The chatbot is the primary way that individuals in the UF community can provide their input on the next academic strategic plan. Please encourage individuals in your units to utilize this tool. The drafting committee will monitor analytics to ensure broad representation from across the campus.
In addition to the chatbot, there are planned meetings with all UF College Councils as well as listening sessions later this month. The Drafting Committee will consider all input in crafting the draft plan later this fall.
To learn more about this initiative, please visit https://strategicplan.aa.ufl.edu/. In the meantime, here are the six questions users will be asked by the chatbot:
- When you think about your connection to the University of Florida, what do you value most about being part of UF?
- What do you love about teaching, learning, and/or the pursuit of knowledge at UF?
- What changes would most improve how our students learn and grow while at UF to prepare them for their future?
- Think about how UF could advance its mission of teaching, research, and service to society in the coming years. What’s your boldest idea for the UF of 2030?
- How might your efforts contribute as UF continues to advance towards its vision for 2030?
- Is there anything else you would like to share?
