Provost Administrative Fellowship Program
David R. Colburn, Interim Provost
The Provost’s Office is pleased to announce the establishment of the Provost Administrative Fellowship Program. The program will be available in the fall to four faculty members at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with less than ten years experience since their Ph.D. to work in the Provost’s Office for the fall or spring semesters. There will be two fellowships per semester in academic year 2000/2001.
The program is essentially an internship in which those interested in university administration can gain some hands on experience. The Provost Fellows would work on special projects with the Provost, Vice Provost, or Associate Provost and would also participate in the various activities of the office during the semester. These activities would include, but not be restricted to, faculty, budget, hiring, and student issues.
The Provost Fellowship Program does not provide released time from teaching. A faculty member selected for this program may have their duties reflected in their service assignment. Those interested in this program can apply by submitting a one to two-page, double-spaced statement of their interest in this internship and the semester that you would prefer to participate in this program. Applications should also include a brief curriculum vita. Please send the statement and vita to the Provost’s Office in 235 Tigert Hall by May 26, 2000.
