Inventory of Student Access and Diversity Programs

Bernie Oliver, Director, Opportunity Alliance Program, on behalf of Janie Fouke, Provost Patricia Telles-Irvin, V.P. for Student Affairs

In consonance with the recent statewide initiatives in student access and diversity undertaken by the Office of the Governor and the Board of Governors, we are beginning a comprehensive survey of access and diversity programs on the UF campus.

If your unit has such programs, please ask each Program Director to complete a questionnaire available at http://www.aa.ufl.edu/documents/access_survey.pdf and return it either electronically, by mail, or by fax, to:

Ms. Tiffany Harrell
(mailto:tharrell@coe.ufl.edu
342-B Norman Hall, PO Box 117053; phone 392-0728, ext. 315; fax 392-0017)
by April 3, 2006. If you have any questions about categorizing a program as “access and diversity,” please contact Bernie Oliver at beoliver@coe.ufl.edu . However, we wish to interpret the phrase broadly to obtain as complete a picture of campus activities as possible, so when in doubt, please fill it out.

The object of this exercise is to ensure that all segments of the UF student population are appropriately served by programs promoting access, retention, success, and graduation in a diverse population. We thank you for your cooperation in returning the data to us.
