Introducing myUF Market

This spring, UF Purchasing will introduce myUF Market, a new purchasing/procurement system for the University. This new system brings a user-friendly online marketplace designed to streamline the way your department purchases its goods and services. The adoption of myUF Market represents UF’s ongoing commitment to initiatives that strategically reduce costs without sacrificing service.

Using familiar, intuitive tools like search boxes, price comparisons, favorites, and shopping carts, your employees’ purchasing experience will be more convenient than ever before—while saving your department time and money. The new myUF Market also will save time wasted searching through catalogs, waiting on hold with vendors, and tracking down approvals. With myUF Market, faculty and staff will make their purchases, initiate requisitions, verify budget, and route approvals in a “one-stop” environment.

Currently in its final stages of testing, myUF Market will be formally introduced to campus beginning in April when a pilot group representing departments throughout campus will receive training on the new system. Throughout May and June, the remainder of campus will be trained, department by department. This new myUF Market system will replace the existing MyUFL eProcurement requisitioning module. Those employees responsible for creating requisitions will receive in-classroom training, while employees who will only use the system as “shoppers” and “approvers” will have the opportunity to take similar online training.

We urge you and those employees in your area responsible for making, routing, and approving purchases to visit the site often in the coming months for regular updates on the project’s progress and timeline.
