A system to send DDD (Deans, Directors and Department Chairs) memos electronically has been established to provide more timely notices and more efficient distribution of information throughout the university. Generally, memos that are one page or less will be distributed by e-mail and a copy will be archived on the worldwide web at the following address:

http://www.admin.ufl.edu/ddd/dddlist.htm.

Longer memos or those with documentation will be summarized in e-mail announcements with the full text available on the web at the same address as above.

Most DDD memos also will be sent by campus mail until the effectiveness of the electronic distribution has been established.

The electronic DDD distribution will save considerable paper, duplication and distribution costs. In addition, the electronic DDD memos are available to anyone who wishes to be on the distribution list. If there are other staff members in your area who should or wish to receive electronic DDD memos, they can add themselves to the listserv by sending e-mail to listserv@nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu and then sending the message “SUBSCRIBE DDD-L XXX@XXXX YYYYY YYYYY where XXX@XXXX equals the person’s e-mail address and YYYYY YYYYY equals the person’s first and last name.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact Jack Battenfield, associate vice president, at 392-1311 or Battenf@nervm.nerdc.ufl.edu.
