Calendar of Events Submissions
Jack Battenfield, Associate Vice President
The University of Florida Calendar of Events is maintained off the UF Homepage and includes university events and critical dates, from listing the exhibits today at the Harn Museum of Art to the football dates for next fall or the date of summer commencement in the year 2001. Even religious holidays are included for planning purposes.
Our objective is to have one calendar that includes all the major events of the university. It is updated daily as needed. It can be accessed off the UF homepage by clicking on “Events,” and information can be requested by date(s) or type of event(s). For example, you can check a specific date to see if there is a conflict, look up just the academic calendar or confirm spring commencement times. You can check to see events that are free of charge.
All offices, departments, and divisions of the university are encouraged to submit your planned events to be included in the calendar. Please send information by e-mail to calndar@nersp.nerdc.ufl.edu or fax to 392-9506. Information should include the event, sponsor, date, time, place, description, admission cost, contact (prefer e-mail or phone) and hyperlink (when available).
The kind of events included in the calendar include academic calendar, exhibits, performing arts (music, theatre, film, dance), ceremonies (convocations, dedications, groundbreakings), conferences and camps, meetings (of campuswide interest, including alumni boards, Board of Regents, College Council, Council of Deans, Council of Presidents, Foundation Board, Student Senate and University Senate), training meetings, colloquia, public lectures and seminars and sports events.
