Emily J. Hamby, C.P.M., Director of Purchasing

With the advent of the Purchasing Card, which has increased usage every week, Purchasing is considering discontinuing the Limited Purchase Order as the rules are very similar and the dollar levels are the same. The Purchasing Card is a more efficient manner of purchasing than a paper process.

We currently have on hand forms that would normally last through September. We do not plan to order additional forms. We will allow you to continue to use the LPO until the supply of forms is exhausted. In order to distribute the forms equitably, we will begin restricting the number you are allowed to 25 at one time.

If Purchasing determines it is in the best interest of the University to continue the Limited Purchase Order and reorder the form, I will let you know.
