New IBM Gold Web Pricing

As a part of a Strategic Alliance between IBM Corporation and the University of Florida, special pricing is now available to University of Florida departments for IBM PC products. The prices are 10-15% below the State of Florida contract pricing. The special Web site (http://www.ibm.com/gold/ufl) will be hypertexted from the University’s Purchasing Web page. The purchase orders for this equipment will be sent directly to the IBM manufacturing facility where inventory will be maintained for some standard UF configurations. These standard configurations are based on past orders by University of Florida departments and will receive a 5% added discount. IBM is assigning special customer service representatives in Raleigh to assist University departments choosing the Gold Web products.

To place an order, please follow the IBM registration process on the Web site, then select items, screen-print a copy and attach it along with a requisition and send it to the purchasing office. In the future, we hope to place orders via the Web, but that application is not yet available from IBM.
