Faculty and staff from all academic units are urged to input textbook and course material requirements for Summer and Fall Semester 2000. Timely entry will allow text requirements to be available to students prior to early registration. The text adoption program is on the web at www.textadoption.ufl.edu/.

The target date for submission of Summer 2000 textbook and course material adoptions is March 17th, 2000; the target date for Fall adoptions is April 7th, 2000. Please keep in mind that this system does not require faculty to use any particular bookstore. The purpose of this effort is to provide students with information about textbook, course pack, and other reading requirements in advance of classes. All local bookstores have access to the system.

The Business Services Division of the Information Technology Department is offering training and information sessions to faculty and staff on February 29th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and March 1st from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Both sessions will be held in the Reitz Union, room 282. To register, send an e-mail to: textadoption@ufmail.ufl.edu. For additional information, contact Leila Cantara or Bill Noffsinger at 392-0306.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter and for informing faculty about this process.
