I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Faylene D. Welcome as Director of Small Business and Vendor Diversity Relations, effective June 29, 2000. Ms. Welcome joins the University from the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners where she has served as Purchasing Manager since 1991. As Director of the Small Business and Vendor Diversity Relations, Ms. Welcome will be responsible for outreach and education programs that assist small and minority businesses in providing services and commodities to the University of Florida.
