Deb Casey-Powell, Assistant Dean of Students

The Office of the President and the Dean of Students Office are proud to announce People Awareness Week 2000. The theme of People Awareness Week 2000 is Celebrating 10 Years of Diversity: Past, Present, and Future. We hope your office will help celebrate diversity at the University of Florida October 21 through November 1.

To help you celebrate diversity at the University of Florida the People Awareness Week Committee is proud to announce mini- grant applications. Over $2,500.00 is available for student and campus use; applications are available on-line at http://www.dso.ufl.edu/paw/. The application deadline is September 29, 2000, to Rick Nelson in the Dean of Students Office. Also available on-line are applications for the President’s Humanitarian Award and submission forms for the University- wide People Awareness Week calendar. Nominations for the student, staff, faculty, and community Humanitarian awards are due to Beth Waltrip in the Office for Student Activities by October 2, 2000. Additions to the calendar of events can be returned at any time to the Dean of Students Office.
