President Charles E. Young invites the university community to join in a public celebration of the life of Stephen C. O’Connell

sixth president of the university at ten o’clock, Tuesday morning, May 15th, at the University Auditorium on the University of Florida campus.

Stephen C. O’Connell died April 13 at the age of 85. O’Connell, who was UF president from 1967 to 1973, also was a former Florida Supreme Court chief justice, a banker, a rancher and the first UF graduate to become president.
