Information Technology Security Awareness (ITSA) Day
Chuck Frazier, Vice Provost
The University of Florida Office of Information Technology is sponsoring Information Technology Security Awareness (ITSA) Day at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union Auditorium. The daylong program features local and national speakers who share a variety of practical guidelines that can help network administrators improve the security of the information resources that they manage. Vendors are available in the Gallery outside the auditorium with information about their security products. New this year is “ITSA Hack”, a hacking contest where you can try your skills against the vendors on our isolated network. For more information, please visit the ITSA web site at http://www.itsa.ufl.edu/.
Departments, centers and college offices are invited to send their network administrators and other technical personnel to these events. ITSA day speakers will address critical issues surrounding the protection of your systems and data. The web development event will address important campus standards. Please encourage your personnel to attend.
Everyone is welcome and will benefit from attending, but they are targeted at network administrators and other IS managers. No advanced registration is required. Attendees from industry, education and law enforcement all over Florida enjoy ITSA Day, while the web event is targeted mostly at campus administrators.
