The use of cellular telephones and other wireless communication devices has substantially increased at the University of Florida. While these devices can improve customer service and enhance effectiveness, it is important that we utilize these technologies in a responsible manner that provides for accountability and makes good business sense.

The attached guidelines are intended to provide staff and faculty with assistance and directives for the procurement and usage of cellular and wireless devices. This information will also be included in our Handbook on Business Procedures to provide long-term reference.
