Please distribute to all faculty, staff, students, and community organizations:

As part of the 2002 University of Florida People Awareness Week Program, a special awards program to recognize student, faculty, staff and community members who have made significant “humanitarian” contributions on campus and in the local community has been established. Each year, UF and Gainesville community members who exemplify the PAW ideals are awarded the President’s Humanitarian Award in recognition of their contributions.

This year’s recipients will be honored at the President’s Humanitarian Award Reception on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chandler Auditorium in the Samuel P. Harn Art Museum at the University of Florida. The Ceremonies will begin at 2:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served to music from the Andes Mountains of Kjulli.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the dedication and commitment of this year’s winners. Please RSVP by Friday, Jan. 11th to 392-1601 ext. 212 or at heldamontero@crc.ufl.edu.
