UF Transition Information Sessions
Larry T. Ellis, Director, Division of Human Resources
As you know, President Young’s October 11 letter detailed a number of changes that will occur as the result of UF’s transition to local employer status. In order to provide additional information regarding these changes as they pertain to A&P and USPS employees, the Division of Human Resources will host several informational workshops throughout the month of November and early December. While the presentations will only address the status of A&P and USPS employees, everyone is invited to attend if they wish.
Each session will generally discuss how the rewrite of the Florida School Code affects how we do business at UF, highlight what will not change under the new system, and identify the decisions that USPS employees will need to make.
The general information will be followed by a detailed comparison of the current USPS and A&P pay plans with the new TEAMS system. In particular, employment agreements, additional leave, educational benefits, and other detailed information will be discussed.
