Appointment of Assistant Controllers

Michael V. McKee, University Controller

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Sauls to the position of Assistant Controller for University Payroll Services and Eric Davidson to the position of Assistant Controller for University Tax Services.

Steve brings valuable experience to this position. Most recently he held the position of Acting Assistant Controller for University Payroll and Tax Services. Steve has worked for the University of Florida since 1989. He has held Accounting Coordinator positions in the Division of Finance and Accounting in University Tax Services and Accounting Services. His experience also includes many years of governmental auditing. Steve is a Florida Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting. Additionally, Steve received a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida.

Eric was previously employed by Florida International University in Miami Florida, where he held the position of Assistant Controller responsible for several areas of fiscal management and operations including payroll and tax compliance. Eric has valuable accounting and financial management experience. During his 16 years at FIU, he worked in many areas of the Controller’s Office. He also served as Chair of the FIU Tax Review Board. Eric received a Master of Accounting degree from St. Thomas University and a Bachelors Degree from Florida International University.
