Policy Change for Preplacement Health Assessments for New Employees

The Student Health Care Center and Environmental Health and Safety that jointly manages the University of Florida’s Occupational Medicine Program have revised the policy regarding Preplacement Health Assessments (PPHA) for new employees and volunteers effective June 18, 2004.

Specific changes include a revised patient contact health assessment process and movement of the Health Assessment Management System (HAMS) to People Soft. In addition, updated appendices include expanded job descriptions, health assessment components, a one page quick summary, and detailed screening requirements for employees with patient contact.
