The search committee for the University of Florida’s next provost and senior vice president for academic affairs held its first meeting Oct. 20, launching the process to find the university’s new chief academic officer.

Nominations for the position currently are being accepted and are open to internal and external candidates. Nominations may be submitted by e-mail to Jerry H. Baker, a partner with Baker-Parker, the executive search firm assisting with the search. The e-mail address is jbaker@bpasearch.com.
