Water Institute Launch Team

A Faculty Launch Team has been formed to proceed with establishment of the University of Florida Water Institute, as recommended by the UF Faculty Senate on Sept. 16, 2004.
Members of the Launch Team include:

Sanford Berg (Economics, Business)
Jim Cato (Food and Resource Economics, Sea Grant, SNRE)
Joe Delfino (Environmental Engineering Sciences, COE)
Wendy Graham (Agricultural and Biological Engineering, IFAS)
Richard Hamann (Law)
Jim Heaney (Environmental Engineering Sciences, COE)
Charles Jacoby (Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, IFAS)
Jon Martin (Geology, CLAS)
Ramesh Reddy (Soil and Water Science, IFAS)
Tom Walsh (ex-officio)

Principal activities of the Launch Team will include:

* Developing a draft strategic plan for the Water Institute.
* Developing a draft business plan for the Water Institute.
* Developing a position description for a Director of the Water Institute.
* Serving as search and screen committee to conduct a search for a Director.

The Faculty Launch team will be chaired by Wendy Graham and will report to the Vice President for Research. The first meeting of the Launch Team is scheduled for Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. in 122 Rogers Hall.
