The University of Florida implemented a site license agreement with Microsoft that allows UF employees to use the Microsoft Windows XP Professional Desktop Operating System Upgrade and the Microsoft Office Professional for Windows and/or Macintosh under the “Work at Home” agreement. The details of the “Work at Home” agreement are available at: http://www.software.ufl.edu/ms/

Employees are allowed to use a single copy of each product. Note that use is authorized as long as the individual is an employee of the university. Upon termination of employment, use of the software must cease.

Employees can purchase the media from the University of Florida Bookstore at the Union. The current prices are: MS Office – $6 and MS XP Upgrade – $5.

In order to obtain the media, go to the website http://www.software.ufl.edu/ms/ and download the acceptance form. Bring the printed and signed form along with your Gator1 ID to bookstore and purchase your copy. You must have a Gator1 ID with the status of Faculty or Staff in addition to the signed form. If your ID says student, you are also required to bring a copy of your most recent pay stub as proof of employment. In order to print from PeopleSoft, you must use the “Printer friendly version” link from the “View Paycheck” option to get an acceptable pay stub.
