Summer 2005 Commencement Information

Ceremonies: There will be two ceremonies on Saturday, August 6, 2005 (10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Please see the summer commencement schedule at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ for the college assignments. Also, the College of Pharmacy will host its own college ceremony at 10:00 a.m. in the HPNP Auditorium.

Ordering Regalia: The deadline for ordering academic regalia is Friday, June 17, 2005. Please call the UF Bookstore at 392-0194 x138 for information — identify yourself as a faculty member and ask that a regalia order form be faxed or mailed to you. Payment is required when placing an order; this payment is refundable until Friday, August 5. Formal academic regalia are required for all faculty members attending commencement.

Faculty Escorts: Candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education degrees will be assigned an official commencement escort. Faculty designated as escorts will receive a letter from the Office of the Provost with details about responsibilities, assembly time and location for the ceremony. This letter is normally sent two weeks prior to commencement. If you have a graduate student scheduled to graduate during the summer semester, please order your regalia on or before the June 17, 2005 deadline.
