Ed Poppell, Vice President for Finance and Administration

Finance and Accounting will be offering working sessions from Monday, June 13th through Friday, June 24th to assist your departmental administrators with critical year-end tasks. These working sessions are designed to provide specific instruction in identifying and correcting your department’s specific problems. These are not lecture sessions – they are working sessions.

If your departmental administrators have any of the following needs, they should attend:

-The need to confirm available budget/available balance/available spending authority.
-The need to run a departmental ledger report.
-The need to run payroll cost distribution report.
-The need to correct payroll distribution errors (i.e.; how do I process retros?).
-The need to move payroll to a different budget or cost center.
-The need to transfer revenue or budget.

I am encouraging your departmental administrators to attend as many sessions as necessary to answer these questions so they are able to successfully close this fiscal year’s activities. Personnel from Finance and Accounting and the Bridges Office will be on hand at each session. Please bring your specific needs and examples with you so that your session will be applicable and productive to your specific needs.

The working sessions will be held at Dodge Island in the Bridges offices and will run every weekday between the hours of 8 AM through 12 PM and 1 PM through 5 PM beginning Monday, June 13th and continuing through Friday, June 24th. Participants can come at any time during these periods and stay as long as needed to receive individual assistance.
