University Women’s Club Scholarships

The University Women’s Club awards scholarships each spring to undergraduate Juniors and Seniors. These awards are named in honor of the wives of past University of Florida Presidents and distinguished administrators.

The requirements for consideration include full time enrollment at the University of Florida, current Junior or Senior status, a minimum of a 3.6 GPA, and participation in campus and/or community activities. These monetary awards recognize scholarship, leadership, and service to the university and/or community. This year each award will be $1,000.

Applications for the scholarships can be downloaded from the Dean of Students web site at http://www.dso.ufl.edu/scholarships/uwc. Should you have any trouble downloading the applications, hard copies can be obtained in 202 Peabody Hall.

Complete applications need to consist of the application form, a personal statement, two letters of reference, a community service letter on official letterhead, and an official copy of your transcript. The application deadline is February 23, 2007 by 4:30 pm.
