Graduate Student Scholarships

The Board of the University Women’s Club has approved three (3) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to be awarded to graduate students this year. The student must, at least, be completing the first year of graduate study and must be a US citizen and permanent resident. The awards for men and women are based on scholastic excellence, character, and financial need. Only one student may be nominated by a department or program.

To complete the application process we ask that you provide us with the name, student ID# and address of the candidate along with a short resume of the candidate’s accomplishments and a recommendation in his or her behalf. This nomination must be received by May 14, 2007. The applications may be sent via email or regular mail.

After a review of all candidates by the Scholarship Committee, three scholarship winners will be selected. The professor nominating the student will be notified of the award as will the winners. Scholarship checks will then be mailed to the students directly.
