New Primary Lab Supply Contract

Purchasing Services is pleased to announce the award to Fisher Scientific as the primary provider of laboratory supplies under UF Contract ITN07TO-135. This contract is effective immediately through April 30, 2012.

Through this negotiation the University was able to achieve overall savings of approximately 11% over the previous contract. This represents a projected cost savings of over $1,000,000 annually to the University of Florida.

In recognition of UF’s high volume purchases, the deepest discounts are available on 300 frequently purchased items called a ‘hotlist’. The hotlist will be adjusted semi-annually to accommodate shifts in buying patterns. Other discount incentives include new lab start up promotions, large single order discounts, and University specific incentives.
