Angel Kwolek-Folland, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs has scheduled two fall workshops to discuss the preparation of the tenure/permanent status/promotion dossiers and the University evaluation process for 2009-2010.

We encourage faculty who will be submitting packets this fall, as well as new hires and other interested faculty who may be going through the process in the near future, to attend one of these sessions.

This year’s workshop schedule is:

DATE: Wednesday, September 16
TIME: 1:00-2:30 p.m.
LOCATION: C1-7 Health Science Center

DATE: Thursday, September 17
TIME: 1:00-2:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Room 361-363 Reitz Union

To sign up for one of these sessions you may email Janet Malphurs at jmmalph@ufl.edu.

If a college is interested in offering separate sessions for their faculty, administrators, and/or college or unit review committees, we would be happy to do so. Several colleges over the past year have sponsored workshops. To arrange a session, please call me at 352-392-4792 or email: akf@aa.ufl.edu.

The Office of Academic Affairs in partnership with Human Resources has created a half-day workshop specifically for staff who assist with the tenure and promotion process, or who would like to augment their resume with additional training. Information on “PRO324 Supporting Tenure and Promotion Activities in your Department” can be accessed at http://www.hr.ufl.edu/training/pro3/default.asp. The workshops are offered several times a year; check the website for the schedule.

Thank you.
