Paula Varnes Fussell, Vice President for Human Resource Services

The Office of Human Resource Services, working in concert with the University Police Department and the UF Counseling Center, will be holding a “Safe Campus, Safe Community: Creating a Violence-Free Workplace” workshop again this spring. Joining me as guest speakers will be Dr. Wayne Griffin from the UF Counseling Center; Captain Jeff Holcomb from the University of Florida Police Department; and Mr. Brook Mercier, Associate Director, Office of Human Resource Services.

Designed to increase awareness about proactive measures and appropriate responses in the event of a disruptive or violent situation, this workshop is designed for UF administrators to help ensure a safe campus environment at our university. We believe this is an important topic in today’s world and ask you to identify individuals from your respective areas to attend.

The workshop is scheduled for March 2 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in room 120 of the HRS Building. This event is sponsored by UF Training and Organizational Development. To register to attend, please logon to the myUFL system at my.ufl.edu and navigate to My Self Service, Training and Development, Request Training Enrollment (register for GET030, Safe Campus/Safe Community Cnf), or contact Training and Org. Development at training@ufl.edu for assistance.
