The University of Florida is initiating a search for the next Vice President for Research. The individual selected for this position will have three main areas of responsibility: 1) the management of the Division of Sponsored Research; 2) the coordination and development of research policy for the University of Florida, the University of Florida Biotechnology Center, the Centers of Excellence, interdisciplinary research centers and institutes, animal care services, Institutional Review Board, IACUC, and liaison between the University and external research entities; and 3) promotion and development of research contract and grant activities from external sponsors.
