Dave Kratzer, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs

I am pleased to announce that Heather White has been selected as Director of the Career Resource Center. Heather has served as Interim Director since March and previously served as Associate Director and Senior Assistant Director. In addition to working for eight years at UF, she also served in various roles at Valdosta State University and Jacksonville University.

Heather has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Master’s degree in Counselor Education (Student Development) and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. In her time as Interim Director, Heather and her team developed a strategic plan for the Center, implemented a career coaching model, revised the Center’s college liaison system and worked to establish and cultivate relationships with stakeholders across campus. Her high energy, in-depth knowledge, strong work ethic, and interpersonal skills have made her a favorite of students, employers, and campus partners and colleagues.

During the year, the Career Resource Center was named #1 for career services for 2012 by the Princeton Review. Over the next year, Heather will be coordinating the initiative to implement a campus-wide graduation survey. In addition, she will continue her efforts toward building relationships with the campus community and beyond. She will also begin to focus on resource development through enhanced fundraising efforts.

Please join me in congratulating Heather on her appointment as Director of the Career Resource Center. Heather may be reached at HeatherWhite@crc.ufl.edu.
