On September 18, the upgraded modules for Human Resources and Payroll “went live” in myUFL. This upgrade brought improvements and changes that impact all employees, from entering and approving time to completing HR or payroll transactions. Keeping our systems current equals good business for the university. While we will have future upgrades, it is important to recognize the efforts of individuals who were involved in ensuring the smooth transition of this one.

Instrumental to the success of this project was the participation of more than 400 staff from academic and administrative units across the university. Among the project’s participants were 60 communication partners, 200 systems testers, 20 dedicated work group members from the Office of Human Resource Services, Finance and Accounting division, and college HR staff, along with a dedicated technical team from UFIT.

The value of their input, analysis, and testing of the systems throughout the 15-month project cannot be underestimated. The positive feedback received thus far regarding the system changes, communication efforts, and training available indicates that the myUFL HR and Payroll upgrade has been among the smoothest enterprise upgrade experiences. Your feedback at askGrady@ufl.edu, about this upgrade or any myUFL-related comments, is always welcome.

Please accept our sincere thanks for your commitment to improving the myUFL systems.
