New Assistant Vice President for Physical Plant

I am pleased to announce that Jeff Chorlog, associate director for utilities services at UF’s Physical Plant Division (PPD), has been selected as the assistant vice president for physical plant. He began his new duties on October 22, 2012.

Jeff has held key operational, fiscal and administrative leadership positions in PPD during his 26 years at the university. A UF graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering, Jeff served as PPD’s interim assistant vice president for business affairs. Jeff also has nine years of experience in the nuclear power industry. His career spans 35 years in both engineering and management.

Jeff’s principal duties and responsibilities will be planning, organizing, staffing and directing all activities of the Physical Plant Division, which consists of the following departments: Building Services; Architecture & Engineering; Operations; Resource Management; and Physical Plant Operations & Maintenance at the Health Science Center.
